In 2007 she was made an honorary Masai, and was given the name Nomkipa, but her friends in Africa call her Mama Safari. She has made over 50 trips to Africa, and has just returned from Southern Tanzania, visiting Selous, Ruaha and Katavi. She is already planning her trip to Namibia next November.
